This is a simple mod which aims to retain the vanilla campaign experience but give the player a few more tools in their toolbox. Big changes include battlegroup edits combined with the fact that Aircraft can now spot ground targets.
This mod makes Second Korean War way too easy. Plane spotting is super overpowered, and you can sweep every map effortlessly with ground attack planes because they can spot hidden cv's.
Unit counts are also up across the board, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. The first mission with the Enterprise gives you twelve anti-ship Hornets, (which is fine by me because **** that battle and the cheating spam AI) and a lot of the South Korean battlegroups have American units added to them to represent the US forces stationed in Korea, which is a nice touch.
You also have to install an older version of the game through steam. When you do eventually get the mod installed properly, it gives you a huge pink screen in place of the loading screen that screams "YOU DIDN'T INSTALL IT CORRECTLY", even though everything's working fine. I had to reinstall the game twice because because I thought something was broken, but it turns out all you need to do is press enter.
I can't say I recommend this mod. It was a pain in the *** to install, and plane spotting isn't implemented well enough to be worth it. It takes a campaign that's stupidly difficult and makes it stupidly easy. I can't speak for Climb Mount Narodnaya because I didn't play it.
Fantastic single-player mod, it gave a new life to the campaigns changed. Can't wait for more campaigns.
