Things Thread - Uplink OS mod for Uplink - Trust is a Weakness

Just loving this game and want things to be perfect so here's a list of things:

Dragging apps sometimes doesn't work. When dragging an app, there is a tiny delay before it drags and then the mouse might be off the app already and therefore not drag it. This is because the app button is clicked and it doesn't drag while clicking. So trace tracker doesn't have this problem since there is nothing to click, but password breaker will not be dragged if you click and drag too fast. Just holding the mouse down a second solves this but I'd like quicker dragging, yknow.

Is there a button for "okay the password in the field, continue please" or do I need to click the arrow to go?

ctrl-delete should delete entire words e.g. in the server search bar. Or is there a way to clear and search another word faster?

Servers on map should be another color (or mark) for favorite + mission. I have lots of missions, and I tag the one I'm working on as favorite, but then on the map I still have to search for it, they're all orange mission servers.

Sort of an exploit, maybe, you can decrypt files on servers a lot faster than local files. Was that in vanilla?

Maybe it's just me but I save every voice recording. It would be nice to have a tab for them. Grouping with files is not exactly meaningful and now my list of files is too long.

Double-clicking the map randomize button ends up clearing most of the bounces. Pretty funny to watch... but the button should be disabled while randomization is in progress.

Just a tiny thing, but the font for numbers would be nice to be fixed-width. At least the numbers. When decypher is spewing out numbers it is jumping around because of different number widths but if they were the same it'd just be number-crunching instead of number-bouncing-around.

The popup for "too many instances" shouldn't be a popup. I then have to hit close when I'm obviously in the middle of mass decrypting. Why is there a limit anyway? Limit by CPU instead. At least make it a notification that doesn't need to be clicked, or doesn't prevent other things from working.

The text note "X" button shouldn't be a delete. It should be close file window, which is saved for later to reopen. ( Just like a normal notepad window yknow ). In fact that is what the "minimize" is doing now. Minimize is actually closing and there is no real minimize.

While I'm talking about notes. I want longer notes. Make em scroll. (I keep note of all voice admins + companies and it becomes long enough for two notes)

Thanks a lot for your suggestions! Now here are some answers:

• Dragging apps: Well, the mechanic is "hold to drag", that's why the delay is there (~0.1s) and, unfortunately, I can't change it that easily. So I don't think it's gonna happen.
• Pass button: Do you mean after typing a password? Yes, you can hit "Enter". If you're referring to after the Password_Breaker finishes, no there is no button that does that except for the on-screen Submit. However, I just added it to the App, so now after the password is complete, it will go to the next screen automatically. It will be available in v102
• "Ctrl-Delete": I agree with this, hopefully I'll put it in v102
• Servers Fav+Target color: Don't know why I haven't thought of this Added and will be in v102
• Decrypting speed: I think I fixed it, but I have to do some tests first
• Voices Tab: Cool idea! Added in v102!
• Randomize button: Fixed! v102
• Numbers font width: unfortunately, I won't be able to do that, sorry :/
• Pop-Up: I understand the problem, but I can't quickly/easily add a new notification system (especially now). You can however press "Space" or "Enter" to hide it quickly. The pop-up's hotkeys are: Escape = Cancel; Space/Enter = Continue OR Cancel (if there's only one button displayed)
• The X button on the notes: Completely agree! I think I was drunk when I thought of that Changed, and will be in v102
• Larger Notes: I made them bigger, but I can't add scrolling input text (without too many headaches). Sorry :/
