I know that deleting things has a current shortcut of either pressing the delete key on your keyboard, or right clicking and selecting delete, but some keyboard layouts does not have the delete key in an easily accessible location (for example, mine is at the top right, meaning if I want to hit it and keep my hand on the mouse i have to cross my left hand all the way across the keyboard to hit it).

Is there any way an additional shortcut can be added for the delete function that is CTRL+D since CTRL+C is copy? Even though that option is not available, it's what I seem to instinctively jump to before remembering I have to hit the delete key in order to use the shortcut.

Sorry to hijack your post but I had an additional input into the issue you posted.

Firstly, would it be possible for shortcuts to be edited by the player so they can get a system that works for them?

On a similar topic, if the above isn't possible, is it possible to a shortcut for decryption?

Hey, sorry for not responding earlier. I always forget to check the other sub-forums XD

Both requests are pertinent and will put them on the list ^_^

As for the ability to edit the shortcuts, I won't be able to put an in-game menu, but I'll add them to the defaults file so they can be changed with a text editor. Not pretty, but... ^_-'

So I released v101, which externalizes all hotkeys to the defaults file.

I've also written a small guide on how to change them, which you can find here.

Hope it's not too hard! ^_-

Thank you so much ^.^

The guide worked perfectly. I was easily able to switch delete from the delete key on the keyboard to Ctrl+D, and changed the Decrypt hotkey from Ctrl+D to Alt+D pretty easily.

Just a note on this though. If you edit the default, it seems you have to edit the user hotkey files separately to have the same changes. I had a few crashes before I found the other files.

Hmmm, that's weird. The default_hotkeys should have not been able to be overwritten. I'll put it on my list as a bug! Thanks a lot for the info!

Also, if you don't want to lose your app hotkeys, you can edit the user hotkeys file and remove the lines that don't have the commandName key value as "Open App [App_Name]". That is, until I manage to fix it :)
