Uplink OS is a total graphical modification to 2001's indie cult hit Uplink: Trust is a Weakness by Introversion Software. It aims to bring a fresh look to the game's cyberpunk visuals and a much needed upgrade to its interface and usability.

Twice now I have gotten caught even though I deleted the internic logs. the 2nd go around, I deleted the internic logs AND the logs on the breached server, and by the time I get to intermediate or so, I end up getting caught.

Is it because I'm only using the V1 deleter? Is it a bug?

I was under the impression if you delete the admin pass and the "routed to" logs on internic, you can't be traced at all... so I just don't get it.

Oh yeah, up to the v3 log deleter, deleting logs only postpones authorities getting back to you.
Only the v4 deleter can make you untraceable.
I recommend that you buy it as soon as possible when starting a new profile.

Really? Huh, I never realized how useless log_deleter V1 is. I always save up in the beginning portion of the game for log deleter V3 or V4 just to be safe.

Introversion designed your missions so that unless you honk off the wrong people, v1 is good enough, not useless. But, as Uxus said, your best bet is to upgrade it ASAP.
