Hey !

No it's not a bug report, it's actually a feature request :)

It would be nice if an app stopped working properly if the CPU value (not the proportion) attributed to an app was too low.

This is especially true for all the none intensive tasks (tracer, bypasser, etc.), that actually don't need a lot of power (if not at all) to work.

And imagine : you start deleting too much file and BAM ! your Monitor bypasser is down, leading to a lot of FUN.

I guess this is a little bit out of the scope of the mod, however, the fact that you can run some app with 0% CPU is quite cheaty to me...

Sounds like a good idea and would balance the game a bit more.

I was actually thinking about this, since right now, only the low-end CPUs are disadvantaged (when the CPU load is full). Will look some more into this for the polishing stages :D

Sorry to post here after such a long time of no activity but I wanted to add my two cents into this topic.

I have the Trinity system fully kitted out. I see couple things here that I don't understand:

  • The total percent is over 100%. This happen with the first system you get as well, you are able to get the password breaker to 100% and the trace tracker to 11% CPU usage at the same time.
  • The CPU bar in good computers never get filled to the correct percentage. The most I have seen this computer's CPU reach in normal gameplay is up to around 40%.

If you were going to add a minimum requirement of CPU to run certain apps would it be possible to have a setting to set them to never go lower than their minimum CPU usage?
