As a player in Unreal Command you either play a soldier or a commander. As a soldier you fight in the battlefield along with your fellow soldiers and supporting armoured air and ground units. The enemy you are facing is equally strong in manpower and heavy weaponry, which means your team must work close together to achieve victory. The soldiers get to choose from a wide range of weapons, armours, grenades and special equipment. Among these things are items as the Rail Gun, Flamethrower, Rocket Launcher, Laser Rifle, Motion Detector and much more. This makes it possible to make at least 7200 different characters in the first release, and this number will multiply many times with each release. As the commander you see the world from above, and use the overview to control the supporting armoured air and ground units.
