I think the content of the mod has to be moved out of the data folder. I'm investigating the steam version now.
The patch02.gs1 file (from the mod) should be where the patch01.gs1 file resides. For some reason the game has a slightly different data structure on the steam version, argh.
If the mummy buff bothers you, it's probably not hard to revert - it was a bit of a leap to adjust the balance of them, but I didn't want to leave them as they were.
It definitely won't work over the top of Rise of Sols, as it modifies many of the same files.
As for discussion, I guess this is the only place. I'm not sure if I will return to work on HOAE, but I'm still open to comments.

Really nice patch, the impossible difficulty on skirmish mode is impressive :D I like this game, but I have one big problem. When I am playing skirmish mode with a lot of units (for example after 1 hour of playing) i get every time crash like this:

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I tried disable autosaves in the game, started game with Win XP (SP3) compatibility, reduce RAM on 2000 MB with msconfig command, but nothing helped... The game crash every time during massive battle... That's pretty annoying, cause when you try load the battle after crash from save, you get the crash immediately again.
Guys if you want to play and complete the campaign, DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS PATCH.
During the universum mission (the one in the pyramid) you have to kill the boss to get the 2 gems, the cold gem and the fire gem. But with this "patch" the cold gem doesn't spawn. Instead, from one of the 2 sphynxs (the left one) it drops a DEAD gem and if u pick up the dead and fire gems, the game doesn't continue.
Not only that, but after have found the problem my save files aren't even compatible if i reinstall the game without this patch...
In the end i have to restart the ENTIRE GAME!

Thank you for this patch! While not totally agreeing with mummy buff, for exemple, it is a big improvement to the game.
Will this patch apply over Rise of Sols mod?
Is there some kind of forum/place to discuss your patch evolution/other game modification?
