We created The Wedding in a flash, compared to our other project. And what’s interesting is that working on it was something we sincerely enjoyed. Everyone needs a break every now and again get their wildest ideas off their chest – and that’s how we treated The Wedding. Everybody had the chance to chill and have fun, creating a project actually focused only on humour. We wanted the player to feel the joy of creation that accompanied us throughout our work.
At first, the adventure was meant to be a dwarven stag night. (Halldis)
We changed our minds though, and came to the conclusion that an interesting event, or even a scandal of some sort, would be Geralt’s wedding. So we gave him one hell of a wedding Adventure? What adventure?!
This thing doesn’t even have a story! (a voice from the official Witcher forum spoke out on this very subject.)
We knew that, but we were willing to take the risk. Instead of thinking up a maelstrom of plot and intrigue, we put all the emphasis on dialogues, trying to brew a big dose of amusing allusions, wordplay and other fun features. In the process of creation we were generating and gathering posts on our forum. The whole crew had a great laugh and the author, satisfied, was encouraged to continue his work.
And finally the anxiously awaited premiere arrived. Our anxiety was higher than first date jitters for sure! We counted out the minutes and, at last, The Wedding timidly emerged to see the light of day. A news release was written on the official Witcher site and a bit, initial opinions were posted on the forum. We heaved a sigh of relief. The players were satisfied. Nothing encourages us more than knowing that what we do is enjoyable not only by us, but also to the players, who play our mods. There was something to do though – there were minor problems with the installation, so we tried provide as much help as possible. We noted and analyzed all the bugs and reports from the community. And so now, we are proud to deliver into Your hot little hands, the new and improved version of the adventure.
