Unfortunately suffers from the condition shores of sahlem had, needs more to it. the strings are a lovely base, but there are so many places you can go after that.
I think a piano with heavy reverb plinking along up high would be brilliant for adding a bit of atmosphere. diving heavy delay Self resonating filter sweeps etc. As said, fine base. But i don't think it's finished ;).

thanks again for the feedback you've been so helpfull with my music endevours :) and yes i can imagine some piano over the top but i do feel however, that if this music is running in the back ground of the realm then something as obvious as a lead piano part then it retracts from the replayability, if you're walking around listening to something that has a blatant part which you keep hearing i think it would make you get bored of the music but i dunno what do you think?

i can definitely understand where you are coming from, even if you still want the music to blend in, i feel it's more about composition than complexity that will keep it there. Music for airports has plenty of plinky piano's and still remains true to it's purpose of ambient music, in fact it invented it ;).

but even so, i don't think you should be so afraid to let the music become a part of the foreground, and not just the support crew. Take the first boss battle from metroid prime, the scene itself is not inherently scary. but it's the combination with the (definitely in the foreground) music that made that scene something a little more unsettling.

hmm i see what you mean i may put some reconsideration in to it. At the moment I'm thinking of generally lengthening it out a bit to add a bit more to it, and then fleshing it out. I'll post the finished product so i can hear your thoughts on it, you've deffinately been a massive help!
