This is the Ilsamiren Wars, a modification for Rome: Total War the Barbarian Invasion and the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It is an entirely original concept. THE STORY The world of the Western Continent is generally peaceful, but for the occasional raid on the Ilsamiri by their neighbours of the Northern Kingdom and the Seaborne. These raids have of late become increasingly regular and organised, however, a poor omen. The Ocean Tribes conduct their civilisation quietly among the Islands of the Dividing Sea and the Southern and Western Kingdoms carry out their trade and agriculture under stable rules, but they too are increasingly threatened, largely because of their close relationship with the Ilsamiri. On the Eastern Continent, the Mechathenain civilisation is preparing a mass exodus. Hi everyone,
As the recently announced demo version of the mod will include the Ilsamiri, the Mekathenain and the Southern Kingdom we (our concept artist Kataphraktoi and myself) have decided to focus on these factions before the others. To that end we've got a couple of new concepts to show today and a few descriptions to go along with them.
(The original plan for the demo included only the Ilsamiri and the Mekathenain, but by adding one more faction we will be able to show more variety, both in tactical gameplay and design.)
That's all for now, but expect more concepts soon. Also, check the profile for a shot of our in-game map and this thread for more details, including samples of the languages you'll be hearing in the mod and descriptions of the soldiers in those concepts.
Only registered members can share their thoughts. So come on! Join the Mod DB community today (totally free) and do things you never thought possible.
I'm sure Kataphraktoi would appreciate any comments you have about his work.
looking interesting how long till we can expect to see some players in game?
Forever, the tools for creating models arent out yet
That is indeed the problem. We've got two modellers standing by, and many more concepts than this in reserve, so the moment the tools are released, expect some serious progress.
i read on the total war website that CA released an updated version of the animator/importer tool for Rome Total war for M2...u shud just be able to use that
Do you have a link to that? There is certainly a texture export/import tool available, but I hadn't seen anything about models yet.
i'll hav a look today :)
Its only for a strat models I think
