2. Characters | Meet the crew of the UNN Von Braun

Dr. Marie Delacroix is your guide and companion through the dangers of Cyberspace.
Anatoly Korenchkin is the voice of the Many that sabotages Shodan's missions.
Captain Diego is among those in the Many that won't give in to Korenchkin's will.
Lieutenant Shephard is the security officer tasked with hunting you down.
As for amnesiac main character "Goggles", he becomes what players restore of his memories!

3. Cyberspace | You are in her world, now

Cyberspace is back from System Shock 1, presenting the hacking process in first person view.
Each of the 8 decks presents an entry to a new Cyberspace level, with 4 more in the extended finale.
Surf at high speed to acquire cybermodules, hack ICE countermeasures and unlock the memory blocks.
Fight the explosive Tripwire Links, the tracking AI Signals, the Destroy Traps and the Memory Shards.

4. Storyline | Nothing ever ends, Shephard

Multiple plotlines are played through hundreds of new events and videos in the campaign.
Manipulate the tears in protoreality to explore each timeline and define your real identity.
Every tear brings specific changes to the Deck it's located in, for added replayability.
Marie's tear saves the crew and spawns friendly marines. Korenchkin's spawns eggs rich with loot.
Shephard's brings you cybermodules and bring his hunting party onto your tracks!

5. Campaign | A man is defined by his actions, not his memory

All campaign maps were modified to feature alternate routes, ambushes and different itemization.
Non-linear quests are favored over keyhunts, and dangerous shortcuts are made available.
Korenchkin's quests revolve around disrupting Shodan's objectives: easy, but you miss on the rewards.
New encounters and enemy types, like the drone cyborgs, psionic echoes and Korenchkin's minions.
Use Marie's powers to revive fallen allies, hack turrets and free weapon caches from forcefields.
The Body of the Many is now a story intensive episode, with no platforming and much interactivity!

6. PSI Powers | You are (not) alone

You have 5 new psionic powers, courtesy of your companion Marie.
They cost no cybermodules to be acquired, save for the PSI tier they're in.
Summon Marie to teleport back to safety, disable turrets, distract or attack the enemy.
Marie can also revive fallen allies, or heal you both from damage, radiation and toxins.

7. Combat | There's two ways to deal with mystery

Combat is more vanilla on the lower difficulty settings and more advanced on the higher.
Enemies are weak against one weapon type and get stunned by all others: think guns vs plasmids.
You can also score headshots for extra damage.

8. Endings | How's it going to end?
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Complete different objectives to unlock a variety of endings.
Up to 5 objectives can be completed at the same time: craft your own ending.
Marie's End: either follow Marie in all tears, or revive all out-of-phase Marines.
The Many's End: either follow Korenchkin in all tears, or perform all sabotages.
Lt. Shephard's End: either follow Shephard in all tears, or kill him in all encounters.
Shodan's End: either complete no objective, or fail the Cyberspace Collapse event.
Sarah's End: complete all Cyberspace levels.
Nostromo End: self-destruct the Von Braun, using Marie: Security in the Engineering Core.
Hacker End: defeat Shodan on Deck 4, requires a level 6 energy weapon.
OSA End: beat the game without ever clicking on a weapons upgrade unit.

A. Installation | Enabling FMSel

Steam installation instructions. Right click on System Shock 2 in your Steam library and select "Launch with Fan Missions". When FMSel prompts you about creating the \FMs folder, click "yes". Place Infinite's folder in \FMs and play via FMSel.

GOG installation instructions. Run SS2Tool to update your game. It will add a shortcut to FMSel on the start menu: "SS2 Fan Mission Selector". When it prompts you about creating the \FMs folder, click "yes". Place Infinite's folder in \FMs and play via FMSel.

Alternatively, you can use Blue Mod Manager and place Infinite's folder in \DMM. If you are having issues running mods and your game is installed in Program Files, move it to a different folder like C:\SS2.

The dialogue portraits default to 16:9. Check the "Addons & Fixes" file on MODDB for more options.
Save before entering a new map in order to prevent bugs, such as missing textures or crashes.
GOG users should update their version of System Shock 2 with the bundled SS2Tool utility.
If you are having issues running mods and your game is installed in Program Files, move it
to a different folder like C:\SS2. You can also try using Blue Mod Manager instead of FMSel.
If movies used to play normally but later bugged, or stopped playing altogether, try rebooting.
