To some a clusterfuck of features, to others the only way to make this game any more worth-while, to me? a sandbox. For more Information, visit the SW3EXP Thread @ the 1C Forums. Can't post a link, since seemingly someones got a problem with that, what a shame.

Hey, don't know if the creator is still looking at this shit, but here goes

There's a mission you get from Greyhair where you go to the Hapha system to get a friend of his to give you an upgrade on something. I crash every single time on this mission, there's just no way for me to progress without abandoning it.

The crash happens when I arrive into Greyhair's friend's station, which is apparently being attacked by MSF. I crash out of the game precisely at the point where the station's health is drained and starts playing the destruction animation - the engine can't take it or something i guess.

I've tried lowering the graphics, looking away from the explosion, slowing down my game to normal speed etc., didn't do jack.

Oh, and I'm also able to see every enemy on the tactical map on every system I enter. This was some kind of a bug I picked up early game, not sure how, but it's stuck with me.

Hey Mighty!

Can you give me a savefile just prior of entering the system? A logfile would also help (But you'd need to replay it to the point of crashing)

If you supply me with atleast one of these 2 things I'll be happy to look into the issues ASAP, still looking in here from time to time.

Funny, I got a reply on the one day I neglected to check this thread.

I went around and messed about with the permanently revealed enemies bug. It seems that going back to previous saves & starting a new game both have the bug persist whereas I'm pretty sure it wasn't there in the first quarter of the game. /Switching profiles/ works however. So my profile was the one corrupted somehow.

Funnily enough, I just tried copypasting one of my saves to the new profile and that seems to have fixed the radar bug so I can play the game the way it was intended to be with minimal cheating (because I happened to abuse it a few times, heh.)

This doesn't fix the crash at Hapha however, which brings me to that subject. Here's a link to a savefile just before entering the Hapha system. Dropbox.com to the bugzone.sav?dl=0

I'm pretty new to dropbox so I might not have gotten it quite right, let me know if you can't download it.

You'll get a shipyard prompt as soon as you load in. I'm not sure what that was caused by, but just ignore it and proceed to the system as usual.

If it helps any, I also chose to help out the trader dude at the start of Hapha.

I'm not gonna be getting a logfile for you because I can't be bothered to play the game from the start all over.

Thanks for looking into it.

Thanks for the save file, gonna test it asap. I didn't mean you to replay the whole game, excuse my wording, you merely would need to load a savefile prior to the crash and replay to the point of crash (Only thing needed here, is of course a savefile just before you entered the system where the crash occurs).

Oh, right.

I went ahead and replayed the sequence one more time to get the logfile right. This was done on a new profile where the permanently-revealed ships bug wasn't in effect. Weirdly enough, my game survived the explosion of the station. Then the MSF who were attacking it turned on us, I had some of my ships target theirs, and as soon as I unpaused the combat, the crash happened.

here's the link to the logfile; Dropbox.com

Thanks! The error comes from the Random Contacts System, As I don't really want to spend much time debugging a system which almost surpasses time itself, I simply disabled the Hapha System in the Config for now. I will still pin it on my "fix it for real" bug list.

Here is the file: Pastebin.com
Just replace the old one at Data\Addons\@Fleet_Mod\Config.lua

After you've done this, you just need to load the save you gave me and do your thing. (It has to be a save prior to joining the former Crashing System)

Let me just make the trouble worthwhile for you: Visit the Charon system sometime.

Happy piloting!

Thanks again for looking into it.

I still have a few more questions but this moddb shit is proving slow for the both of us so I'm adding you on steam instead. Got a pretty similar name, you should be able to tell.
