Resonance tells the tale of Lieutenant Kevan Storm of the Koprulu Liberation Front. Sent on a covert ops mission with his squad to the frozen Dominion wasteland of Floe, his primary objective is to scout the area and assess whether or not it would be profitable to destroy the Dominion encampment there. A surprise assault from the Zerg appears, and his ship crash lands, killing his men... and forcing him to work with the Dominion forces of Floe.
As the events of Resonance unfold, Storm will begin to find his true allegiance... as well as become part of a much larger plot that begins to unfold around him.
Jim_Raynor here. You may know me better by my (now previous) ModDB handle, ToryIsConfused.
So back about one year ago at this time, Lavarinth, the administrator over at Campaign Creations, started up the Campaign Creations Campaign Contest. I of course signed right up, as campaigns are my thing. Over the next six months I worked away at Resonance, sometimes tirelessly and sometimes tiredly, and in the end did manage to make the release.
And the winner?
Resonance in fact won first place in the contest, much to my surprise and pleasure.
Over the next little while things died down a bit, both for popularity of the contest and my own mapmaking. So why upload Resonance to ModDB now?
I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. Crescendo Entertainment needs to reach out more and make itself known, and perhaps gain a bit of a following, and we must work even harder on our projects. So, then, what of the future of Resonance and Crescendo Entertainment?
We'll have to wait and see.
I'll be back!

I've been working away at Resonance for the past little while, but I've kept a lot of what I've done under wraps. Today I'm going to showcase some things...
Well, to be honest, with all the ups and downs in its progress, I wasn't sure I was going to finish. I've had to modify a few things, shorten a few maps...
i have windows 7 64bit and when i run the resonance.exe i enter the game until the point where i push "log in" ,after that an error comes on the screen that memory cannot be read or something like that.
i looked above in some comments and find that infos about deleting a file rez\expcmpgn.bin but i cant find it anywhere in starcraft folders.
i also deleted my current profile because i read that creating a profile inside your mod will crash it.
i created a profile inside and outside of your mod (in resonance and also in normal Starcraft broodwar) and i always get same error:"the instruction xxxxxxxx at memory xxxxxx cannot be read" something like that.
also try running ans administrator the resonance.exe and installed the game 3 times clean in row and updated to 1.161 patch than copy resonance in SBW main directory and same error.
any ideas?
"i looked above in some comments and find that infos about deleting a file rez\expcmpgn.bin but i cant find it anywhere in starcraft folders."
That's because it's stored in the Resonance.exe itself. Download WinMpq (can be found on this page Campaigncreations.org) and use it to open up Resonance.exe, and then delete rez\expcmpgn.bin from there.
"i also deleted my current profile because i read that creating a profile inside your mod will crash it."
I don't remember anything about that, got a source?
Your problem is almost definitely the rez\expcmpgn.bin file. That's what most of the issues people have with Resonance is. If my suggestion with WinMpq doesn't work, let me know.
i cant find it to play it in the game
Did you read the readme? The campaign maps are imported into the mod itself. You run the campaign like you would run the official Brood War campaigns, from the menu.

Nice! Thanks!
Hey, that's looking sweet. Will try it soon.
Very good campaign and it's nice you incorporated some background lore like the KLF into it.
I actually saw this over on Campaign Creations. I wanted to download it but I couldn't find the exact download spot, so I am actually glad you uploaded it on here. :) I'll be downloading it in the next day or two when I get time from my C&C playing.
Rad, thanks! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.
