Known bugs/issues:
-Potential effects overload may cause guns to misfire.
-On Kashyyyk, for some reason, when AI spawn in on the Research Treehouse, the models 'bounce'. This only seems to affect GCW.

After (finally) getting back to SWBF1, the first thing I did was installing this mappack. I have to say that playing these was an enjoyable experience, although I may be a little bit on the fence when it comes to the changes made to the prior releases.
What I wanted to get out of the way was that one of the things that I personally enjoyed about the past releases was how well these maps blended in with the stock maps (especially with your Sound Adjustment Mod installed), partially due to the fact that the changes were delicate and mostly aesthetic, with the majority of gameplay changes being related to the 5th class. Here, it seems that the approach was different. The names of the maps themselves were changed to start with "Elite Squadron:" (followed by the names of the maps), and the classes were changed even further, altering the gameplay. Then I noticed that the previous releases are still available for download here, from the modpage of "Star Wars: Battlefront: PlayStation Portable Maps".
The way I understand it is that this is a separate project where the goal is to bring in more changes, and with that assumption it works perfectly fine. The maps themselves are as good as they used to be. The changes to the them were nice and made them look more finished. It's also nice to see the menu videos of Kashyyyk and Cato Naimoidia. The character and weapon models look really neat and I am still amazed by the Super Battle Droid model from your Invisible Hand map.
Overall, this is a very solid release and I can't wait to see the upcoming mappacks. I'm also glad that you didn't delete the previous mappack's modpage, so that we could still play those versions of the maps.
Good luck with the next maps! I can already tell that they will be really good. :)
Thank you :)
Yes, this is intended to be separate from the Portable Maps project. While I'm intending on keeping future Elite Squadron maps within the scope of this project, I still want to keep the older maps as they are for archival purposes.
I see. I know that working on multiple versions of these maps at the same time would be bothersome, so I think it's a good idea to focus only on the project that you're more invested in at the time.
At the same time, I'm personally glad that you decided to keep the previous releases available for download, as the Bespin and Sullust maps added what I felt was missing the most in SWBF1 when compared to EAFront 2015, without going too far from the style and gameplay of the 2004 Battlefront.
With that being said, I'm excited for this project and can't wait to see the maps that you're currently working on.
