The full original 2001 release of the original Star Trek vs Star Wars Total Conversion for Star Trek Armada and all its subsequent patches and addons.
Installation
Installation is very simple. First install a clean copy of Star Trek: Armada from GoG (Gog.com). You can then also make a backup copy of the game installation in case something goes wrong.
If you are trying to install from the old CDs or an ISO from those CDs, then you will need to install the official 1.2 patch as well before proceeding further. The GoG version is already on v1.2 when you install.
- Extract the contents of the STvsSW.zip file to a location of your choice.
- Install the unofficial Armada 1.3 Patch.exe. This will add native widescreen support to the game. Visit Armadafiles.com for more details.
- Run the file STvsSW Installer.exe file, select the correct install path (the installer will try to automatically add the ‘Star Trek – Armada’ folder name so be careful when choosing) and then simply install.
- Extract the contents of the STvsSW v1.022 Patch.zip file to the main Star Trek: Armada directory, overwriting any files when asked. If you don’t install this patch, there will be issues and no Star Wars music if choosing Imperial or Rebel factions.
- Load up and play! There is no Single Player campaign (it was hardcoded so making it wasn’t possible) only Skirmish vs AI or Multiplayer is available.
- For further information on how to play the mod or gameplay types, please view the original readme file (Original 2001 ST vs SW Readme.doc).
