System Shock: Rewired is the very first full fan made singleplayer campaign for the original System Shock in over 24 years! 3 brand new levels with branching paths, 4 new cyberspace sections, new puzzles, brand new soundtrack by SpeedySPCFan, new fully voiced audiologs, new on-screen text and so much more awaits in the now dark corridors of the hospital ship UNN Bismarck. Playable with all existing versions of System Shock (Enhanced Edition recommended). What are you waiting for? SHODAN waits for your return! And she is eager to end your - in her opinion - useless existence.

Description

ReWired - the worlds first fully voiced custom singleplayer campaign for the original System Shock received it's final upgrade and is now available to use with any previous System Shock Release as well as the brand new Enhanced Edition (Sourceport) by Nightdive Studios.

Loved it but a bit confusing on how I was supposed to tackle level 3. I think I walked backwards when I hit the trigger and locked myself out of CPU node area without being able to destroy the CPU nodes, so then was stuck inside shodans chamber trying to kill the ice defences in cyberspace to no success. I did that a few times like with the trap in lv 1 near the cyber conversion chamber, walking backwards after hitting the trigger inadvertently disabling the trap.

I'd suggest moving the triggers for traps forwards so that players don't happen to walk backwards through the doorway and lock themselves outside of the trap.
I also found that I'd managed to softlock the game by dying in engineering in the trip through the coolant tubes, due to the way the entrance to engineering is designed. It's one way only when going through medical after respawning, so if you respawn in engineering before unlocking the shortcut you're pretty much stuck unless you know how to clip through walls.

You can deactivate the trap near the cyborg conversion by finding a well hidden button somehwere in this area above.
The ICE defenses in terminal 3 and 4 are hard yes, but they are solveable if you dodge out of ICE projectiles so the next projectile of the ICE doesnt shoot in your direction. BUT the ICE protected items in cyberspace are SUPER POWERFUL stuff. So it's okay that they are so difficult to hack.
I will move some triggers and forcedoors to furher away locations in the next major update of the FM.
It is not possible to revive in engineering on one of the two paths unless you activate the cyborg converseion which is only available to you on the NOT coolant tube path.

That was great, I had good fun making my way through the levels and thought the design was solid- really felt like it could have been an expansion.
The only thing I never touched was a control panel behind a green shield in the medical area that was also mentioned in a log- never figured out what it did.
Only downside was that it was way too heavy on cyberspace but I'm biased in that the I think the game could do without the cyberspace part completely.
Great work and thanks a whole bunch!

thanks for playing. You are awesome. I am currently working on the final version of the mod after all the great feedback I received. The green forcefield place will be better telegraphed in this version then. Also there is a bug for some people that makes the forcefield reappear when going 25% or lower? It will have some changed places, enemy placements and hopefully audiologs. Wait for version 1.3 which will be the final.

If you're using the Enhanced Edition, I found the install directory to be in "SS1EE\res\missions" and not under %appdata% like the readme says.

This is confusing for a lot of people.
If you have the GOGversion right now, its under SS1EE\res\missions still. There was a patch for it yesterday. GOG is slow in updating, while Steam already uses the new %appdata% ALREADY. Because it got the update faster than GOG. In a couple of days even the GOG version will use %appdata% exclusively.
I am sorry guys, this is out of my control and I have to wait for GOG as much as you guys have to wait for it.

If you DONT have the GOG or Steam Version and use the floppy or classic or cd-rom version, then you have to follow the installation instructions for PACKAGE A:
Moddb.com
