The Special Ops mod aims to open up Blacklist to the player, giving you many new options for tactics and customization, while removing many of the limitations and handicaps that made the game easier and less rewarding. You'll find it's much harder for the player to control the battlefield and track enemies. A fully stealthy approach is even more difficult than before, and getting spotted can be very deadly if you are unprepared. You'll have to use a much wider range of tactics to evade and eliminate hostiles rather than striking from the shadows over and over - preparation is key. Hostile guards are sharp and deadly, and enemy commandos are a force to be reckoned with.

Description

I may be releasing a new update soon. It won't contain many changes, I've only worked on the mod a little bit here and there since November. But I do have some new things that I might as well release to anyone who is interested.

First is the NVG effect, as you can see it's more of a green tint but I really like it. The green isn't so overwhelming as it is with the default and versus NVG, and it makes lights appear brighter as real night vision goggles would.

Also, as you can see in one of these pictures, I changed the flares in one of the goggles to regular round ones. They aren't all like this, just the one. If anyone wants to give feedback on it I might add it to additional goggles.

Another thing is I'm toying with the idea of converting the prototype SMG to something along the lines of an M4 SOPMOD, mostly because it looks cool and I can add many attachments to it, including both the laser and foregrip simultaneously. I'm also able to add a flashlight or a bottom mounted grenade launcher, but I'm probably not going to add either attachments because I don't have a way to turn the flashlight off, and the grenade launcher doesn't really work, even though it looks cool mounted on the weapon. My only real problem with this is that the M4 is not an SMG, , however one could argue that with the right SOPMOD config it would be akin to one.

I may have more to add in a bit.
