I would like to make a quick post about this, practically every other mod I'm tracking has so why not. If you want to skip to the news in this post I have placed the headings for sections in bold.
2012 Mod of the Year
I am not going to ask you vote or even encourage you to vote in any way for my mod. Mainly because I believe that if a mod isn't finished it shouldn't be voted for (and certainly not begging for votes!), I know this mod is not finished and won't be said to be finished for quite some time (released doesn't mean finished). In fact the final version will be lucky to see light of day before the 2013 voting, as I plan to continue working on this mod for as long as there is a Bethesda game to carry it (yes that means Fallout 4 and TES:VI will get a port).
I will on the other hand encourage you to vote for finished mods, I won't mention any in particular but there are a lot out there that have had a lot of work done to make them and deserve the recognition much more than some half finished mod that probably won't be released this year.
Positions Available (still)
To make this post more of news than a rant I have a few other small things to mention. Mainly I am still looking for people to do textures and models, I have all the sound effects and music I need for now (they are major sci-fi shows, seriously a Google search gets me sound effects instantly). If you want to help with the Creation Kit part of things don't bother since that is all the offers of help I get and at best that would slow me down so I won't accept offers for that. I have previously mentioned that when the models are totally done I will make it easy for people to create plugins which add to the mod in areas of worlds which are near empty but that won't be for a while.
For modelers I need people who know how to keep a model clean for placing in a game (if you don't know what that means then message me and I will explain further). Textures are needed desperately for the models I do have so as long as they are of good enough quality then I'll be happy. For any position I would like to see some previous work and you will need to be able to prove the model is yours, best way for this is if I find it on another website (Google 3D Warehouse for example), then you can prove that the uploading account is yours.
Currently I am approaching a stage where a beta testing will come in useful. No quests yet as they are pretty much the last thing I will be implementing, but I have the hub area set up fully now (used to be Cheyenne, now named Ordale for reasons I will leave for another time). There are no NPC's yet but I am working on populating that list currently, the new armour is still not in because I have yet to get around to that but I have been using models from vanilla Skyrim for clothing and re-texturing them (which has worked out relatively well), Guard armour is also a slight re-texture of the vanilla armour.
I use around 100 different mods alongside testing and they all seem to work, so far this seems to show that compatibility is not an issue for most major mods from Skyrim Nexus. I would mark a release date, but I have done so previously and missed it by miles so I won't say a date this time, only that it is soon. The way the beta will be released is simply having it upped like a regular release but tagged as a demo rather than a full release. I will link forms for submitting bug reports and general feedback/suggestions through Google again as I at least got a response last time. Another news post will accompany the beta with all information regarding how to access it and installing etc. and I will also upload a dozen or so screenshots showing the content so far. I will likely cut out the new world in the beta as at the moment it is rather barren and only has some landscaping done so far and it would be pointless to travel there, but I will decide closer to the time what to do.
