Improves singleplayer experience a bit in various ways.
Adds mission select menu with mission previews including missions from both base game and UO expansion.
Adds UO weapons into base game missions.
Alters AI teammates to shoot more often.
When playing base game missions, base game menu backgrounds, loading screens, victory screens and dead screens are used insted of UO ones.
Adds "Mods" button into main menu, expands graphics options menu and adds "Other" options into options menu.
Before playing go into Other options and set Hunkmegs to 256, game might throw an error when playing base game missions when it's at default 128. Restart the game to apply changes.
//Mission select menu
Replaces "New Game" button in main menu. Contains all missions, from both base game and UO expansion.
All mission can be played at any time at any difficulty.
Click "United Offensive Missions" to show UO missions instead.
Shows mission preview on mouse hover. Preview shows screenshot from autosave and text from introscreen(or some made up text).
Click on mission loads the mission at selected difficulty.
If you want to play through whole campaign(what "New Game" button did), then click on top left mission. Training for base game campaign, Bastogne1 for UO campaign.
Difficulty can be changed by "Change difficulty" button. This won't change difficulty of already running mission, nor any subsequent one.
Game always launches at default difficulty Regular, so might need to change it every time you launch the game. When resuming game or loading saved game, difficulty from saved game is used.
//UO weapons
Missions have different starting weapons, most notable UO weapons in base game missions.
Most rifleman units can randomly spawn as some other unit. Support gunner(Bar, Bren), sniper or rifleman with semi-auto rifle(SVT40, G43). Allowing AI use of UO weapons in base game.
At Training MG42 is replaced by M1919 and in Redsquare mission by DP28.
//Mods:
Taken from multiplayer, shows list of available mods(fortunately both sp and mp mods in one list).
//Graphics options menu:
For both SP and MP.
Custom resolution settings, HW gamma and framerate.
In Multiplayer it only works when disconnected, since servers aren't using the mod. You likely gonna have original graphics options menu when connected to a server.
Set "Ignore HW Gamma:" to "Yes" to get rid of overtly bright screen.
To unlock framerate "Sync every frame" in Performance options has to be disabled.
//Other:
Enable console, intro and crosshair.
Hunkmegs, requires restart.
FOV in range from 80 to 110. Warning: Can only be changed in one direction! You gonna have to click all the way around, if you skip FOV you want to set.
Check included readme file in sp_improved folder for more infomation.
Rocket mission cannot run from the menu, give script error. I didn't try all the missions to run so i don't know about the others.
Fixed. Thank you for your feedback.
How do you Properlly Use the Mods menu.... Like for instance. how to put modes into it?.
You create a folder inside a game folder and put pk3 files from some mod there and then mod will appear in mod list.
Check bottom of included readme file for more infomation about mods.
Where would I make a Mods folder, or Really how.... Not exactly sure how to do that honestly.
Directory tree should look somewhat like this:
Call of Duty\main # base game files
Call of Duty\uo # uo files
Call of Duty\pb # punk buster anticheat
Call of Duty\CODUOSP.exe # and 3 other executables
Call of Duty\... # whatever else
And what you gonna do, you gonna add a new folder containing at least one pk3 file like so:
Call of Duty\mod1\garand_skin.pk3
Call of Duty\mod1\thompson_sound.pk3
Call of Duty\mod2\sp_improved.pk3
At this point you should have two mods in your mod list: mod1 and mod2, where mod1 will change thompson sound and garand skin, and mod2 will load sp improved mod.
mod1 and mod2 folders can be renamed to whatever else not used yet.
I tried the trick of simply making a new folder between CodSP and UOmp But the folder won't go between em.
Can't get through Airfield mission in UK campaign. When I start using anit-aircraft cannon it immediately gets blown up. Tried several times
I've just played Airfield mission in it's entirety without any issue.
It could be compability issue, if you have other mods installed in main or uo folder.
I don't have any mods. What version are you using? I"m using 1.51.
I've just found out that flak can be destroyed by shooting sandbags in front of it even with no mods installed. Simply avoid shooting Stukas on the ground, wait till they get in the air.
Thanks for the help!)
I'm getting crash after finishing Bastogne-1 campaign.
I fail to understand what is "Bastogne-1 campaign". Played both Bastogne-1 mission and Noville(last US mission) and didn't get any error.
