Version 0.4OS. This version is for those who do not have Entrenchment, or Diplomacy. It is a total rebuild of 0.03c incorporating some elements of SoA 2 0.4e for Entrenchment. This will only work for Original Sins of a Solar Empire patched to v1.191 (Mod is 1.195 compatible)

While still not a "complete" mod SoA 2 "OS" (the OS stands for Original Sins) is a total rebuild of the OLD SoA 2 0.03c version using updated reference data. I incorporated some elements of the upcoming 0.4e release for Entrenchment. Like the LCARS UI improvements, some structures, and ship stats. It is much further along than 0.03c ever was. It also sees the return of the Romulans, and the Dominion. However the Borg are NOT included in this version. There wasn't any time to include them, and we were focused on Entrenchment, and Diplomacy.

Read the mods readme for installation instructions, and other important information.

Understand that this is a VERY OLD version of SoA 2. We do not support Original Sins, or this version of the mod any more. This release is a COURTESY, because the Diplomacy version of SoA 2 is taking an extremely long time to finish.

We do intend to make a final version for Original Sins that incorporates as much as possible from the upcoming Diplomacy releases. Once we get the Diplomacy version of SoA 2 as far along as we can, we will look into "downgrading" SoA 2 for Entrenchment, and Original Sins one final time.

The Sins 1.193 patch only fixed compatibility with the ICO servers. Mod will run fine in Sins version 1.193

I will DL this baby and try it out, I tested the mod in its earlier stages and I was freaking out when i made that galaxy class :)

hope now everything is at least balanced and I will be a happy camper, its sad to hear u are moving on to E and Diplomacy, but I heard they added some new features to those expansion, so i guess its logical to upgrade the mod.

well i wish u luck and maybe some day I will get E and Diplomacy and try out "the super mod" ;)

Use 'extractnow.exe'. It's free, shouldn't be too hard to find online, plus it handles zip; jar; xpi; bz2; bzip2; tbz2; tbz; rar; r00; arj; z and taz extensions

For German language re-name the English.string file to German.string, or whatever language version you are using.

This is a VERY old version of the mod, and doesn't use the same UI as the newer versions for Entrenchment, and Diplomacy. Also we didnt add the Borg yet to this version. We haven't touched this version since Original Sins was updated to 1.191. We dont have the free time, or manpower to keep up with 3 different versions of the same mod. We do intend to "downgrade" our next Diplomacy release to Entrenchment, and Original Sins, but that wont be until a later time, and "IF" we have the time to do it.

I know you don't support this mod anymore (Good mod btw) Just wondering if it can be modded so Starfleet is Trade Federations rather than Advent. Or is it suppose to be that way? As I got no clue what to research to get the suppose different ships. Other than that; I love it. Thanks for this great mod.

No difference between the 1.191, and 1.193 updates. Except updates to make Sins compatible with newer ICO servers. No changes were made to the game itself. So the mod will run fine in 1.193.

The Elite Colony Roletypes are the only caps you get that are "ready to launch" (free first cap). Every other Elite Unit must have its "war refit" researched to unlock them. Just like the Cruisers. This was important to balance the ships.
