After years of walking around other mods, now people get a chance to trample on mine. Go figure. Red Orboros is an alternate continuity, picking up some time after the events of Yuri's Revenge. See the Description for a few more details.

Ladies and Gentlemen! Workers of the Protectorate! Fellow Acolytes!

Today, I am happy to announce that BlackUmbrella has volunteered to be the Mod's offical Composer. Hopefully, I will be able to share some of his matierial with you all very shortly. But for now, congratulations BlackUmbrella on getting the post!

For those still wishing to help out, fear not! We still have the following jobs and positions that require being filled.

RO is looking to hire the following positions:

Voxel Artist

What is a Voxel Artist? Voxels are the little 3d graphics in Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge that constitute vehicles, naval units and some structure turrets. A Voxel Artist is the person who crafts these for the mod's use.

What does the position entail? As the mod's Voxel Artist, you'll be working with the concept artist when developing graphics for RO's assorted vehicles and weapons.

What are the requirements? Voxel Artist must be at least intermediate skill level. A knowledge of Art.ini is useful, but not required.

SHP Artist

What is a SHP Artist? SHP's are the 2D graphics that constitute Infantry, Buildings and Terrain. In RO, SHP graphics are also used for certain units such as Allied Battlesuits and Mecha, giving RO a heavier reliance on SHP's than most other mods.

What does the position entail? As the mod's SHP Artist, you'll be working with the concept artist when developing graphics for RO's assorted Infantry, Buildings and Terrain.

What are the requirements? SHP Artist must be at least intermediate level. A knowledge of Art.ini is useful, but not required.

Concept Artist

What is a Concept Artist? Concept Artists are a requirement on any major modding or gaming detail. A Concept Artist is the man who draws the art for everything in the game, as well as promotional pieces if he gets time.

What does the position entail? As the mod's Concept Artist, you'll be working with the Voxol and SHP artists when developing the game's graphics.

What are the requirements? Concept Artist must be at least intermediate level. Must be able to draw clear, easy to follow Art. Note however given YR's age, not all of your detail is going to display correctly ingame.

Propaganda Minister

What is a Propaganda Minister? Between time and schedule, I personally will be more focused on getting a build of RO out in some shape or form. This means for the most part, I'll be unable to cover media such as Images and Videos (though I can add Media created by others to the ModDB page).

What does the position entail? The Propaganda Minister will be in charge of creating still images and other promotional art and media, with a secondary role of relaying fan feedback.

What are the requirements? The ability to take a Screenshot of course. In addition, a mature, cheerful, friendly and social face is required for interacting with the fans.

Voice Actors

What is a Voice Actor? Voice Actors are the people who record lines for the units in the Mod.

What does the position entail? As a Voice Actor, we will send you the lines and give you some guidelines for your performance, possibly with the description of the Unit in question. You will then need to perform as best you can.

What are the requirements? Due to the lack of Voice Actors in the modding community (especially the YR community), I've decided to say anyone with a decent headset microphone and recording equipment can try out. However, we are not under any obligation to use the voice you send - if we think it's a bad take, we'll either use a better voice or ask you to perform for us again

We aim to get out more media for next week, but for now (if you haven't read it yet), here's the link to the article posted on Monday about the Allies to keep you entertained in the meantime!
