Why do I sense Kuznetsov's going to start a Second Grunyev Revolution?

To be honest, I have no plans for that general, he's a narrative tool.

look weird. I think some kind of grinder tank, or mech would be cooler

Hard disagree. That a very bland and overused concept. On the top of my head I can count 5 mods with a RA3 Grinder Tank.

I don't say that should be RA3 grinder tank. It can be some sort of modified terror drone, but bigger scale

I really don't want to rain on your parade, but a giant Terror Drone doesn't sound like a really unique or interesting concept, does it?

I agree 3037. Tempest Rising is doing the same thing and it looks terrible. Dorf is doing the same thing and it looks terrible. I'm a huge fan of both games, this design just looks bad.

Never gave any attention to Dorf, so wasn't aware of that. All in all, that's the design I choose, and that's that. There are plenty of mods without giant sphere, so enjoy those.

Yeah, the Tempest Sphere... Albeit as support power with an explosive coup de grace!

Yes, that's the base inspiration for it. O found the concept to be very dumb the first time I saw it but I couldn't stop thinking about how to implement it so I had to do it.

I like that a lot! Very unique support power. I disagree with #3037 in that it should be a tank or mech because that would just make it a tank airdrop which has been done time and time again. The way it is now is perfect. I'm sure maybe some statistic's may need changing sometime down the line when it comes to public testing but that's nothing new.

Hehe thanks, I really like the concept too. Had to think hard about how to make it work.

IMO this variant of grinder-type unit is definitely more interesting than making another RA3 copy.
BTW so old grinder vehicle is gone? Forgive me if it was long ago, i'm just not aware.

Eh, I agree, the current design is quite nice imo.

Also, yeah, I got rid of the RA3 Grinder style unit a while ago. Now, there are two grinder units (aside from the current Voltotron) :
-The Magneto Tank, which is a mix of the Magnetron and the Grinder that grab units from afar and get them close for their grinder;
-The Metal Fang, which is a mix of the Battle Fortress and the Grinder.

Description

"In the desolate expanse of Novaya Zemlya, Soviet General Ivan Kuznetsov rushed to investigate a mysterious catastrophe within a secret military research lab. His team arrived to a scene of devastation—ruined buildings and lifeless bodies scattered across the Arctic landscape.

Amidst the wreckage, they discovered the remains of the Voltotron, a colossal sphere composed of magnets, dynamos, and a volatile Tesla core. The experiment had gone awry, with the destructive force tearing through the facility until there was nothing left to obliterate.

Investigations unveiled the grim truth—the Voltotron's destructive potential far exceeded its strategic value. General Kuznetsov promptly relayed his recommendations to the Kremlin. Firstly, he advised against weaponization due to the uncontrollable risks. Secondly, if weaponization were deemed necessary, a killswitch was essential—a self-destruct mechanism to curb potential havoc. Lastly, he stressed the importance of regulating production and transport to mitigate unforeseen consequences.

However, the Kremlin's response proved disconcerting. The higher-ups, unmoved by Kuznetsov's caution, viewed the Voltotron as a weapon of unparalleled might. Ignoring the general's recommendations, they decided to harness its chaotic power, dismissing the risks outlined in Kuznetsov's report."

---

The Experimental Voltotron is a big rolling bomb available through the Bureau of Technology. Because of its volatility, its has to be delivered by Humpback Starlifter from a remote production facility via a 7 minutes Support Power. The Voltotron can crush light and medium vehicles and will grind against heavier targets, including buildings. If it is not killed within 1 minute, it will self-destruct, causing damage to a large area.
