This is an item, enemy, NPC/Player model, voice and soundtrack randomizer made for the PC Sourcenext version of RE2, and it adds lots of replayability to the original game. You can also enjoy some of the hilarious cutscenes the mod has to offer! You'll need a copy of the game installed with Rebirth patch to play this mod.

getting a dvd error during cutscenes? ignoring it gets rid of it.
That usually happens when game files are missing. Try reinstalling the game and rando again.
I hope you can add Leon a scene with the machine and Claire B scene with the machine
I'll do Claire B eventually after I finish with other randos I'm working on.
I reinstalled and now it wont randomize items or characters or enemies, just the dialogue.
Ok I'll try to do a video tutorial on how to install it, but the only think I can think of is the mod_rnd2 folder not being in the game folder (biohazard 2 pc). You can also check the read me file which explains how it should be.
It seemed to work when I turned randomized dialogue and models off. Does it work for 1.10 only or 1.11?
I tested it and it works w/o the dialogue randomized. Not sure what is wrong there.
it seems to work if I first, do a seed w/o dialogue, then do one with the dialogue afterwards. Not sure why that is.
I only tested it on 1.1. I don't know if the Rebirth patch admits 1.11.
are the old version shortcuts on the desktop redundant now with this newest version? the ones that it setup when you ran the old version update. I want to tidy the directory up a bit and would help if I can remove the stuff that's no longer needed.
The latest version does not use the old files and shorcuts so you can delete those.

Hi re_duke, this is a great mod! After a bit of tinkering I managed to get it working fully but...how do I fully reset Claire A back to normal? Now that I've generated a seed I am not sure how to revert back haha
If you are using v2.5 just don't select randomizer at the rebirth mod selector.
Awesome and funny mod! Is there any way to get the 1.5 zombies to have their original moans? I also noticed the female (Misty) zombies had the male moans in the licker hallway.

I have one question though, I can complete the game perfectly fine but when I go down the final lift after beating Birkin and my game crashes not allowing me to run to the train and get my ranking. Playing Claire A if that’s needed.

Is there a simplified tutorial on how to install this and get it working properly for someone who doesn't have advanced computer knowledge? I can't figure out how to make it work with all the patches and programs. The instructions are kind of vague. Thanks!
A complete tutorial should include the installation of the game, rebirth patch and randomizer. Some people were asking for it so maybe I'll do it, on video; just didn't have time yet.
I'm pretty sure there was a tutorial of re2+rebirth patch installation on youtube, and the randomizer program is not that hard to set up; it's extracting the zip file into the game folder and then open the rando from the mod_rnd2 folder.
That would be awesome. Its one of my favorite games, but after 2 days and several hours trying to get it to work and failing, I've realized i do not have the computer knowledge to get it to work without a tutorial. Hell, I'd pay someone to send me everything setup

Also, can you see the images on the Read me? Imgur.com some people reported they couldn't see the images on the doc files for other randos, if that's the case then you can use the images I linked as a guide.
I also wanted to say that the randomizer setup (assuming that you have the game installed) is pretty simple. You don't need to be an expert or anything, but that's how it works with mods, sometimes you gotta figure it out, or learn things in the way.
Ok this is going to be a long post of all the things wrong with everything I'm doing. The download doesnt even come with a config.ini i can even delete. Or a "game manual" file. When I Right click on the application I do not get a settings menu to change what the person in the video changes, it just goes to properties. Do i need an emulator? The application also has no .exe on the end of the application file when i extract it, i dont know if that effects it. When i put the rando folder in the game folder and generate a seed, it says select [DEV] something or other, no clue what that means. After i generate a seed, it only gives me a seed log, and no seed. There is something very crucial I am missing. The video made sure I got the right version of the game, But i am unable to do anything with it because ot doesnt go into any of the details. Any insight or ideas would be very helpful. Also, when i try to open the application, it will say the game is running, though I dont see it running anywhere except my task manager. What is a mod selector?
To open the game you have to open the bio2 1.10 file.
If it says that the game is running, restart your pc and try again.
The config.ini file will be created after opening the game the first time.
