Q3knockOut changes your Quake experience in a very unique way: Scoring is not done by directly hit and kill your enemy, but by pushing him out of the area into the void or other deadly spots in a map like lava and such. Q3knockOut comes with new weapon and item behaviours, a very fast gameplay, new ways for cool jumps and moves. As maps you should only use very open ones like the space maps. All standard gametypes are supported: Deathmatch, Team-Deathmatch, Tournament and Capture The Flag. Q3knockOut is a server side only modification.

This beta lies on my harddisk for years now. Let's put this beta out there, even if no one cares anymore ;). Changes: * All CTF maps are available for FFA/1v1 gamemodes * CTF maps are converted for FFA/1v1 gamemodes to provide more spawn points. * Dropped items stay in map for 3 minutes * BFG strength increased * (Instagib) Railgun direct hit knockback increased. * Now 8 instead only 4 maps at once visible * Map buffer increased to show more maps from baseq3.

This one lies on my harddisk for years now. Let's put this beta out there, even if no one cares anymore ;). At least there is a backup of it on teh internets now.

Changes:

  • Gameplay: All CTF maps are available for FFA/1v1 gamemodes
  • Gameplay: CTF maps are converted for FFA/1v1 gamemodes to provide more spawn points.
  • Gameplay: Dropped items stay in map for 3 minutes
  • Gameplay: BFG strength increased
  • Gameplay: (Instagib) Railgun direct hit knockback increased.
  • User Interface: Now 8 instead only 4 maps at once visible
  • User Interface: Map buffer increased to show more maps from baseq3.

You can try this mod also in online multiplayer right now. It is serverside-only, so it's even not needed to install it. Here is the server:
