Originally the first episode of Project Vanishing Point was supposed to release the 8th of July. but lately we have recieved a lot of negative feedback about our system requirements. There have been some changes in some very resource-heavy parts of the episode but it will take more time to get the episode ready and there have been more complications along the way.
I got a job offer that i could not refuse and will be relocating and getting used to a new workplace for the next few weeks so i will not be able to finish up the last few bits of the mod before leaving. Currently we expect to be able to release at the end of the month.
And now some better news. Pre-production on the next episode "the city" has begun. We have learned a lot from creating the first episode and will be applying those skills when crafting the city. We will aim for roughly the same graphical fidelity but with some major changes to the way the mod works. The city will be a fully open world experience. You will be able to go anywhere you want to. Every building will have an interior and you will be able to enter pretty much every single building in the mod. That is all I can say at the moment about the next episode.
We will have some new system requirements ready later.

The requirements were fine to me...
Argh I don't care if it kills my computer just release it! And you can enter every building? Thats awesome.
in the next episode you will be able to enter every building. In the first you will not.
Sounds like u've got set to high point to rich for yourselves.
Do you really think, what player want to visit any bulding? What is the interest to stalk through all these apartments and etc? I don't get it.
And this kind of thing will cause necessary lack of details in case of increasing performances and dodge these errors what it can, and will create.
Or I'm probably wrong and that city is very small and it's not such a bad idea as i think...
The city is not a giant city and it will be split into zones that you can go through like an open world :) While we had 1-2 mappers on the first episode at all times we will probably have around 4-5 mappers on the next episode, the workflow will be a lot faster. so instead of releasing the next episode fast we just scaled the areas up so it fits the workforce we have.
