Project Indigo the work-title of an MMOFPS that aims to become an alternative for fans of Planetside. The game is based on a custom shader-enhanced version of the Torque Game Engine, and features a central account and game database, several zones with interconnecting warpgates, as well as both infantry and vehicle combat. It is meant to empower the community to create the game that Planetside could've been, without simply cloning or copying everything. Instead, successful elements will be reused, while new elements and community ideas will add to the experience. It is a standalone project that doesn't require any additional software. Basic gameplay is planned to remain free for everyone, with some features available for subscribers only. As of now, key elements like character registration, zone travel, central database interaction and of course basic vehicles and weapons are working in-game, putting this project well beyond the concept phase that many such endeavors never succeed...

This is a first glimpse on the web-based zone map
of the game. It doesn't look like much right
now, but it is already operational The actual live
map can be seen on

Right now this is showing our test zone
containing a single base and two towers, as well
as interlinks and warpgates, but no hotspots. Yet.
