The Doors is a multiplayer-only mod for Portal 2. You’ll need to think outside the box while trusting/helping each other to make it through the various challenges. I hope you guys will follow this mod, and remember me :) It's me, Skinnycap! I will be back!

oh crap i hope not... pti makes everything in 128x128 chunks, very un-professional. (unless he replaced those with solid brushes, i which case, great!)

you missed the point. im saying, if he used pti then ported to hammer, it would be un-professional due to pti using 128x128 chunks for everything, and unless he replaced those with good solid brushes, there's just no way this mod will look good. i mean, it'll look fine to players, but it would stink for me because im a developer and im more aware of these things.

Have you ever looked at any actual Portal map? Most chambers have a very simple structure, and then have extra decoration so that you don't notice it.

Here's the first result for "Portal 2 chamber":
I45.tinypic.com

See, everything is pretty much 128x128chunk, but then there's extra stuff here and there to break the pattern. Even the rooms that have vegetation and rumble all around, if you remove those extra decoration, deep down they are all basic 128x128 chambers mostly.

I don't think that it's a good idea at all to import PeTI maps into Hammer. However, there's nothing wrong with drafting out a map in the PeTI and then completely recreating it in Hammer.
