Welcome one and all to our March 1st state of the project! We've got a good amount of stuff to unpack in this one.
We've got interesting new pictures for you, as well a haunting soundscape of the back rooms and labs of Aperture Science. Just a small sample of all the work we've been doing behind the scenes.
Aside from progress taking place as always, we're working on evaluating options for shifting over to Portal 2 Community Edition. Both for more streamlined production and for a more enjoyable experience for everyone to experience. As well as working on setting up a backup that we can push to Steam from seeing as how the project is getting a tad big and losing anything now would be a rather large setback. But that's the point of a backup!
Our staff has been shaken up a bit lately, but production continues as planned. As always if your interested in helping out we're always hiring for the jobs listed in the relevant tab, Mappers especially are always in high demand, don't be afraid to give us a shout!
Speaking of staff shakeups I'm sure some of you have noticed that this is my first public showing in quite some time. 2020 was rather difficult on me and I had to take leave for a while to get some mission critical things in my life sorted out. And in my absence while against all odds Distanced rose to the challenge and lead the project in my absence, which is why I saw fit to promote him from Consultant to Project Leader. He's done a stand-up job and he's proven he can lead under the worst of circumstances. Without him the project as a whole would seldom look the same now.
But as the Abyssal machine chugs ever forward, we remain committed to seeing this project through to the end, we thank you for your continued support and with that, the monthly update comes to an end, have a wonderful day or night and I'll see you next month.
