Operation Peacekeeper is a modern warfare modification for the popular game Battlefield 2, based on a fictional development of a Kosovo conflict. The mod features two different sides - the German Bundeswehr and the Serbian VSCG - engaging in the rough and mountainous terrain of Kosovo. Both use state of the art military weapon systems like the German Leopard 2A6 MBT, as well as older, but yet still effective equipment, like the Russian build Mi24V Hind E used by the Serbian forces. The maps cover a large array of different settings, such as for example a domestic port, a small village, or a military airport attacked by German airborne troops.

Hello community!

About 35 years ago, in the early 70s, the governments of Yugoslavia and Romania came together to start a project with the intention of designing a new aircraft for ground-attack use. As a replacement for the old J-1 Jastreb, the J-22 Orao was developed. As "Orao" is the serbian word for "Eagle", the name fits very well for this aircraft.
Equipped with 2 Rolls Royce Viper-engines and two 23mm GSh-23L guns the Orao can be seen as some kind a universal weapon.
Its armament can be flexibly varied as you can install BL-755 bombs, AGM-65 Maverick missiles, AA-2 Atoll/R-13 air-to-air missiles and many more.
There also is a twin-seated variation of the J22 which is called the NJ-22(M). But this one won't find the way into our modification.

The OPK J-22 was modelled by Hunter and skinned by Kampfwiesel. The sound of our Eagle is being developed by DaWallace and Nordstern, the flightdynamics and weapon systems by Nightmare and Bernie/Starforce.

And here are the pictures of the J-22

Now it's done, our latest news-update for the version 0.2 of OPK. See you next time!
