Operation Market Garden (OMG) is a persistent multiplayer only modification based off the award winning real time strategy game Company of Heroes. We put a strong emphasis on balance, community, transparency, and fun. Currently in an open Beta, we are constantly improving, adding new OMG features and content. Through our website the player tailors their company, customizing it to fit their play style and needs. Through our simple and easy to use launcher they join battle with their teammates against the enemy. There's no in game resource management, no base building, and no gimmicks. It's just pure combat, building on the already superb platform of Company of Heroes, and it's pure fun. Win or lose, your surviving units stick with you throughout your battles. The war persists, your troops persist, and its all at tip of your fingers.

It's been almost a month since our Launch and things have been swapping between people taking a post-release break and dealing with real life issues to furious bursts of activity as people get time to work - Personally I've been wrapped up with trying to
a) Consistently get out weekly Shoutcasts (this weeks will be a day late by the way, not releasing until tomorrow).
b) Keeping the team on-track for our next release (this will be a significant release)
c) Working with the Balance Team to analyze all the replays and posts that have been coming in re: the state of balance for the next release.
d) trying to buy a house lol.... which is a much more time consuming process than you might think.
So heres the skinny on what you can expect in the OMG BETA 2 release - I can't give you a date of release but tonight we FINALLY passed the main hurdle that was holding it up (and had been a problem for the last 3 months actually) - Emplacements are working! After like 9 recodes they're now fully functional and just need some final pieces added, but the veterancy issue is solved, the scar errors are solved, we've been testing for 2 days and everything is finally working. If you see Marcus, buy him a Lexus.

Experiance Rewards System to help new players or bad players field competitive companies
New War Challenges system

FLASH War Map & Momentum Meter (for the WAR Campaign)
Advanced Training System (ATS)
So that's it for now, I know this update has been a long time coming but now that we're back on track and close to the release of BETA 2 you can expect content and development updates more frequently.
