The NorFor Project, which is short for the Norwegian Military Forces Project, is an initiative with the purpose of expanding the Operation Flashpoint (OFP) experience into a realistic virtual combat and warfare simulation. As the name indicates, NorFor will provide its users with modules covering most aspects of the norwegian defense forces, from tanks and helicopters to rifles and soldiers. UPDATE: 6th July 2006: We are finished with OFP. All our finished (and unfinished) addons have been released. The idea behind a norwegian simulation started early 2002, and the work and planning for the NorFor Project was started early 2004. The NorFor Project will be released as a module based system including a NorFor Client and several independant modules. This way of publishing let us focus our workforce on certain modules rather than one large product, which should provide a better result and more frequently release dates.
