**ALTERNATE ENABLING OF NOD'S REVENGE MOD (without using the standard dowload "XCC Mod Launcher)**

****************************************************************************

The ORIGIN version of Nod's Revenge is a "manual" (by-hand) mod, meaning you have to remove any NodsRevenge files from the RA2 folder after you quit the game in order to play normal Yuri's Revenge again. I realize this is not what the home page of the Mod says ("hassle-free modding experience"), but this is the current workaround for Origin users [as well as an alternate option for those having trouble using the Standard download mod launcher].

-----------------------------------------------------------

There are three steps to playing the mod without the Mod Launcher:
1. Take the "sourcefiles" folder and put it in your RA2 directory.

2. To run Yuri as Nod's Revenge, cut the source files out of the "SourceFiles" folder and paste them directly into the RA2 folder.
3. Take the "expandmd56" file and put that also in your RA2 directory.

-----------------------------------------------------------

To change Yuri's Revenge back to normal, simply take the 5 sourcefiles out of the RA2 folder and put them back in your "NodsRevenge_SourceFiles" folder.

If there is confusion about which files to move back and forth, an easy way to check is sort your RA2 folder by Date Created or Date Added. The 5 (five) files that make up Nod's Revenge will all have the same (much more recent than YR files) date created.

-----------------------------------------------------------

For your reference, the names of these 5 (five) files are:
- audio.bag 'this is all the new voices/effect sounds
- audio.idx 'this is as well
- ecachemd94.mix 'this is mostly infantry and building graphics
- expandmd94.mix 'this is vehicles, backgrounds, and new rules/code
- ra2md.csf 'this is all game-text like unit names, country names, etc.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If something doesn't look or sound right while you are playing NodsRevenge or normal Yuri's Revenge, it probably means one of these 5 files didn't get moved to where it needs to be.

Also importantly, the "expandmd56" file, which was included outside of the provided "NodsRevenge_SourceFiles" folder, goes in your "RA2" folder seperately and can stay there all the time. This mix will not interfere with normal Yuri's Revenge or other mods if left in the game folder, as it includes only the custom menu and score music for NodsRevenge. It also includes the entire RA2 soundtrack which is also made availible during gameplay of Nod's Revenge.

If for any reason, you already have a "expandmd56" mix in the folder from another mod or yourself, simply re-name the one provided with the next availible # (like 55 or 57).
