because it wasn't used there. you actually had to ask what the problem was, idiot?

that's like including the m16 in the yam kippur war because it was "already invented during those years"

REDRAPTOR Apr 4 2010, 12:40pm replied:

wow, not trying to trash the devs or anything, but they could at least TRY to pay attention to detail:
1. There wasn't any electronic sights issued to US infantry during the Vietnam Conflict ,that is just silly. The closest thing to a red dot sight wouldn't be around for 15 years, and even then it looked like a big box on a gun rather than a sight or scope.
2. Some of the weapons in this game were never even USED in Vietnam DURING the Vietnam Conflict.(ehhem uzi... maybe instead try a scorpion, after all, the soviets were giving the NVAs scorpion smgs, ak47s, rpg7s, and bullets like ****** candy!)
3. A little bit of attention to details is nice too (RIS on the m16 in the 60's? try again buddy.)

All im saying is, the dev team needs to go watch full metal jacket and pay attention to what the m16s look like and do a little more research. Getting the details isn't that ******* hard, when you ignore the details is when it gets hard. It is easier to get the details right the first time so you don't have to go back and do it again, if you do you're wasting time. (note i referred to the Vietnam war correctly as the VIETNAM CONFLICT, because we never actually declared WAR on another nation. Same can be applied to the war on terrorism/Middle Eastern Conflict, technically its a CONFLICT.)

actually it did when the games were centered around WWII, but since its moved into the modern age, its creates its own scenarios so they have free reign over what they want in it depending on Countries involved

Well I guess we could have spent 3 years making everything exact but we have jobs and **** to do but it seems you don't lol. If you don't like it don't play it.... pretty simple raptor. The fact that you are that upset is hilarious to me... need to find a better way to spend your time.

I'm sorry to burst your bobble, but the negative critics of this mod are INCORRECT in ONE point.

The UZI was INDEED used in Vietnam.

Do a Google search...use "was uzi used in vietnam" to do the search.

Lot's of articles about it...one of the first articles listed that SHOWS that the UZI was INDEED used in Vietnam...i believe it's right away 1st article listed that is in UZI talk in a two page article.

However, i agree with the electronic sight criticism...unless of course, it was used as prototype in Vietnam like in CoDBO , IIRC.
It would however be better to remove it or that there would be a cvar to disable it's use...

CoDBO gives me headaches... I saw an AKS-74... in part of the campaign that was set in 1968.
