Mod by Norwegian Salmon is the most extensive modification for Disciples 2 to date. Comprehensive and engaging. The modification contains so many innovations that an unprepared player may get confused when starting it for the first time. But don't be afraid. Despite its scale and apparent complexity, the content of the mod is quickly mastered and remembered. The Norwegian Salmon mod is also notable for the fact that it provides advanced tools for mapping. And many skilled authors have already switched from the original version to a modification in order to realize ideas that could not be realized before.

I have played MNS for the first time when 1.44 came out. I learned about the mod and the previous versions long before thanks to YT streamers, but I decided to wait for the latest release to get a better first hands-on impression.

I have to admit, with the 1.44 release, the mod has finally matured. New scripted abilities, attack ranges, attack types and a greatly expanded unit roster (including neutrals) along with new items and a variety of QoL changes made for very diverse and tactical gameplay. The mod also substantially improves the tools for mapmakers -- the scripted event capabilities have been thoroughly reworked.

To have the best experience, I'd recommend playing campaign sagas updated specifically for this mod or custom scenarios that use newscript system. D2Info is also highly recommended since the mod has so-called hidden unit trees which share some other units' buildings and a lot of neutrals.

For the moment, I give this mod a 9 for a good playing experience, this is a great mod indeed, and I believe it still has lots of room to grow and improve to uncover its full potential.

A very high-quality modification, with many new units and objects. The balance has also been revised. I definitely recommend it to those who are tired of playing the original.
