Well, me and Lightning have been working on yet another new map for Metroid Online called "Fire Deity". It was given to me by Jahrain (the guy who is making the Zelda Online mod, for those of you who keep track of ce mods), and it looks pretty sweet. In all honesty, I think it would work great as an original Halo map OR a Metroid Online map, as the geometry sorta reminds me of Magmoor Caverns or something.

As far as the mod is concerned, I have been doing various animations recently, but that's about all that has been touched with the biped. I also redid the charging animation for the beam cannon (power beam), and I think we have yet to test that out too, I'll get with Lightning about it this evening.

I've been wanting to resurrect the Nintendo Mapping Team (with maps based off Starfox, Mario, F-Zero, etc) lately, but I think we need to atleast get our updated public beta out first. Thanks for the continuation of support, we ARE still working on this.

I also forgot to mention that I found out the other day that we were in the Official Xbox Magazine #53 page 24. here's a pic of it
It seems they weren't too happy what are doing with Halo. They also proved their ignorance by not doing any research regarding our mod and claimed that it was for Halo 2 and that we had both Master Chief AND Samus in the same map playing against each other which is also not true.

Here's a transcript of the article:
"our faith in all things green and armoured was dented this month when we saw this horrible little hack being buzzed about the internet. someone, somehow has managed to perfectly spliced together halo and metroid prime to create a death match where master chief goes head to head with primes heroine samus aran. in the movie, master chief can be seen taking a walloping from the lovely ms aran with various rocket launchers, before taking his revenge by turning into her trademark morthball and giving her a right good squashing. then he rolls the environment, where you can see the gentle curve of the halo disappearing into the distance. it sure is purdy. this leaves us with a puzzle though - we're simply unable to figure out whether the hack was made by an xbox or a nintendo fan. and is it a metroid prime level that's been hacked or a halo level? one thing is for certain - we'd love to know WHO MADE IT. if you want to see the movie for yourself, gawp at samus aran having the guts to invade halo, just go to google video search and type in the words 'halo','metroid', and 'hack' to witness this bizarre crossbreed of a game for yourself. who knows, perhaps it is actually a trailer for halo 3 after all? yeah , right."

Morons. I countered their article by video.google'ing our latest beta video in it's place. ;-)
