The Year is 2034. After the escape of bioengineered virus Decacellulomesium, or 'Duke' for short, from it's testing facilities in Sicily, Europe is laid to ruin. The reason for this is that Duke, although a potent carrier of an advanced form of TB, has another, far more sinister side effect. A process known only as 'Extension', the few survivors of Duke's initial onslaught undergo a horrific and severe mutation process. Their cerebral capacity and bioelectric fields are empowered tenfold, and they become slowly degenerating psychic powerhouses. Outcast from society, these 'Psykers' have formed into cults and gangs, and within six years have laid all of Europe's governments and organized militaries to ruin. It falls to rag-tag witch-hunter pogroms, led by religious zealots, to combat the Psykers on their own terms amidst the ruins of what was once a thriving continent.
