I was thinking about this as I was making the Reaction map pack. You follow an infantry squad in the National Guard. They are young, just out of High School, so they haven't seen any action yet. As news of a new infection spreads, you are sent into the city to aid in relief efforts. Many people are becoming infected, and you are scared you might get infected as well. After a few days of being stationed at the hospital, patients who have been infected for a few days are showing signs of extreme aggression, and hunger. Obviously, they become "zombies". You escape the hospital, and survive with the remnants of your platoon at a CDC checkpoint. Later, you find out that the military has quarantined the entire city, leaving you and your platoon for dead. After finding this out, you come up with a plan to escape through the sewers. It turns out other people had the same idea, but didn't make it out the other side. As you make your way through the sewers, you decide it's a good idea to blow the exit, so the infection can't spread further. You need to find pieces to make a new detonator, then defend the exit til the charges are set. After you escape, you soon find out that the quarantine was a failure. You find Humvees and try to get as far away from the city as possible, and make contact with any civilization that still exists. As you're driving, you recieve a distress signal from a Marine squad in need of help. Maybe they can tell you what happened. You find their crashed Humvee off the side of the highway, and make your way onto the campground. You look for them at the different campsites until you find the last surviving Marine. You help him and he fills you in on the situation... TO BE CONTINUED... |
