This mod adds many new units to all sides, makes the Black Sun Pirates playable, enhances some space units, unlocks a few space units, and generally makes a wider gaming experience.
For the 1.2 version I have added some new units, here they are: TIE Interdictor, ARC-170, Vulture Droid, and Tri-fighter. I have also added concussion missile and proton torpedo weapons to several fighters. I have improved the stats of some of the fighters to be more accurate to Wookieepedia.

One of the biggest stat changes is the StarViper's health, which now is 117 (for reference: the X-wing has 60 and the TIE Fighter has 50). The TIE Defender's health has also been increased significantly. Bombers no longer fire proton torpedoes at fighters and bombers, except for the TIE Bomber and TIE Interdictor, which ony fire torpedoes at fighters. A-Wings now fire concussion missiles, the A-wing's concussion missile look like vanilla eaw torpedoes because that is how they are actually shown in Episode VI: ROTJ. The Rihkxyrk fighter and V-19 also have concussion missiles, but those concussion missiles look like stock concussion missiles. The X-wing, ARC-170, Vulture Droid, and StarViper now have proton torpedoes. Proton Torpedo color has been changed to the bright pink seen in Episode IV. I added a new projectile, the Proton Bomb, Y-wings shoot them at fighters (with very limited accuracy) and larger ships, the proton bomb does more than twice the damage of the proton torpedo, but is slower than the Y-wing firing it and has a small firing range.

have you made the other factions playable?
More than three playable factions is pushing the limits really, EaW doesn't even support a third playable faction that well.
