Line of Fire: A game for Battlefield 2. It is futuristic warfare between the worlds most elite Special Forces and Terrorist Factions. The mod will include everything from new game modes through to new character classes, weapons, vehicles, models, skins and everything in it's entirety. --------------------------------------- Story: It is around the year 2020. For the previous 22 years, leaders across the free world have been trying to stamp out the growing threat of terrorism. In that time, the Coalition of the Free, backed primarily by the United States, but also Britain and Australia has sought to crush rogue nations and their inhumane regimes. However, some of the rogue nations were supported by large, secret powers from the ghost of the former Soviet Union and other powerful networks and organisations who want an end to capitalism and democracy; often for their own twisted reasons. As time passed, people around the world began to see through the propaganda-filled war. They realised...

Finally, months after the last update, we have some more to show and some more in reserve. With the work that’s been going on behind the scenes, we should be able to release media updates frequently here on in for a while and as a result, you should hear more about LoF in the near future. Now onto business…

First off, excuse time; we’ve had some issues with certain unreliable hosts and unexpected events occurring throughout most of the developers lives over the past while and as such development slowed quite dramatically. But that being said, plenty was completed including things from models, to skins, to coding, through to animations and effects, It’s all coming together nicely.

Throughout the past few months we’ve had some team dev changes as well, sadly Thumper as left us to proceed further with a career opportunity in the animating sector and Akuma decided to retire as he had schooling commitments. On a brighter note we did recruit JungleLord, Hostel and Heather, each of which model static objects and will continue working on our custom statics to create a new experience through new scenarios and battle styles The final new member is Ulyses who will be modelling the more dynamic models such as weapons and vehicles.. So we wish the best for Thumper and Akuma and hope to hear more from the newly recruited four.

First up is the Tavor-21 modelled by our very own Slyr133. The last mention he had was the OICW weapon system. His modelling has come along since then and he has started becoming an invaluable asset on the team.

Ulyses’ first piece of work for the LoF team was a nice bit of technology. It is the Heckler and Koch G-11 rifle.

Phoenix has created the following city scape with additional smaller statics by Svensmokavich. These are the beginnings of a complete city in which a large battle is to occur. This should set the stage for an intense firefight which is sure to be a load of fun.

Yet again Slyr133 has created another fine piece of work. This is his F-320 Combat Knife.

The following two renders were a joint project between Phoenix and Slyr133. Both models were modelled by Slyr133 and both were unwrapped and textured by Phoenix.

Finally, Phoenix modelled, unwrapped and textured the Seburo MN-23. It’s complete with flashlight and scope ingame. Thus far the flashlight is mapper’s decision based, however that should change in the near future. Next week should showcase some screenshots of the MN-23 and more in action.

And on a final note, Line of Fire is currently searching for talented skinners, animators and coders mostly. Whilst we realise that these are some of the most sought out jobs, we hold out in hopes that people will answer the call.. Any help we could get would be greatly appreciated and well worth the effort of applying in the end. So drop over to the Line of Fire mod website and check it out. Don’t forget to apply. Either post on the forums or email the team at lofinfo@gmail.com.

Post is too dominating for the frontpage. Please condense it as much as you can (Such as grouping the images and cutting some text) and resubmit. Thanks :)
