Life's a Beach update: 05.04.12 news

Ryuji V1.0 now playable!

We have uploaded the 1st of our 4 custom survivors, Ryuji, for download. You can try him by downloading the VPK from L4Dmaps, link here. Once the VPK is in your addons folder he will replace Nick. V1.0 is just the first released draft, we still have the following to add:

• Face rigging to allow for facial animations
• the tattoo to his left arm
• First person arms (currently they are Nicks)
• Custom dialogue

Charger re-skin: Fisherman

We are re-skinning all the Special Infected to fit in with the Beach theme of the campaign, our first completed piece is the charger.

We chose a fisherman design which as you can see fits very well with his original overalls. LaB has a  summer beach theme, while designing a brigther look for each infected we have taken into account  that the SI must remain instantly recognisable. While it may take a small amount of time to adjust, we believe the new skins mesh with game-play nicely and fit the overall aesthetic of the campaign.

The Charger will be uploaded next week for everyone to try out and I will post an update when we do.

Voice Actor update

We have received a few more VA auditions since the last news update, if you visit this thread  you can read up on each position and see if you have what it takes to voice them. To summarise we are looking for:

• Ryuji: Japanese male, fluent in English
• Military personal: Male & Female Americans
• Computer system: Electronic Female, warns survivors of danger
• Dr Haslam: Male or female who guides the survivors via radio
