Lawdogs (formerly known as U.S. Marshals) began after a former Unreal Badlands member, Gusher, decided to continue to pursue his idea to create a Wild Western modification for Unreal Tournament 2003 after the Badlands team decided to move on to another game engine. He started out small, only using a small portion of the work left over from Badlands and through persistence and dedication, it has now reached the stage where it is under steady development with a very talented team behind the production... The whole plan has been thought out all over again and was heavily re-worked using ideas from many different sources... and the result is... Lawdogs. A modification designed to recreate the exciting atmosphere of the intense gun battles from the old western era during a time when the only law was martial law and the United States Marshals were formed to bring order to the west.
