First, the pulse tank etc are no longer derived from alien tech, due to widespread opposition
Second, here is a draft of the new storyline for Last Stand.
It isnt nececarilly finished yet, and any comments/sujestions are welcome. Bear in mind that this will NOT be in the first release, although the first champiagn might.
During GLA Missions
-GLA gain support in Chechniya, Azurbijaan and Uzbekistan
-GLA gain power and an airforce
-GLA steal some nuclear warheads
-GLA steal a nuke silo then nukes (see above) fired at Major European and Chinese targets (GLA Mission 7-already planned)
--Europe oblitorated-UK only country with any military power remaining. China left licking its wounds--
During Russian Missions
-Russia fight GLA in Siberia
-Russians discover a new substance in Siberia-small groups of military diverted to investigate and escort retreaval teams
-Russia move into Chechniya and "remove" GLA
-Russia move into Azurbijaan and again "remove" the GLA
During Chinese Missions
-China force GLA out of border zone, and recapture the nuke silo and several other bases, with Russian help (2/3 missions)
-GLA attack China with airforce from deep within Kazakhstan (after destroying AA defences with bomb trucks, terrorists etc.)
[-Russia invade Georgia on falsified evidence of GLA activity (not discovered till later missions) to gain control of the area the area (reported on in briefings, but not actually seen)]
-China discover the Uzbekistani goverment has been funding the GLA, and they go to war, while the Russians hold off the GLA in the western middle east
During UK missions
-UK drive back GLA from europe (2/3 missions)
[-Russians begin field testing pulse tank]
-UK discover that the Russians (who are now invading kazakhstan) falsified the evidence of GLA activity in Gorgia, and were actually trying to expand thier borders-primary concern in still GLA
-GLA at bay, UK and US forces move in on occupied Kazakhstan-war between US/UK and Russia begins (China remain neutral)
-Russia fire new orbital pulse cannon at several key US bases, USA pull back
-China support Russia
During USA Missions
-Russia attempt to invade USA, USA hold them back
-UK move into USA through Canada to aid the US
-GLA attack Moskow and Russia fall back (although still assaulting USA)
-war rages on
-UK launch new anti-matter missile at Russia.
-USA & UK beat back remaining Russians attacking the US and start attacking Russia and China
-China Surrender
-Russia pull out of all occupied territories to defend the motherland
-A truce is signed-loose "peace" achieved (like a cold war-not actually fighting)
Final, Joint champaign
-GLA resurface, having built up their forces during the US/UK-China/Russia war and carry out major attacks in cities throughout the USA, UK, China and Russia-the four nations team up to fight the GLA (cinematic)
-Several missions involving all four sides, to drive the GLA back underground
-The Uzbeckistani goverment is overthrown, and a peace keeping force is put in place by Russia, USA, China and the UK (like in Iraq today).
-Champaign ends with the destruction of a GLA stronghold in Turkmenistan.
Good. Just make sure there's a proper reason for the Russian inavsion of the United States.
