When year ago I started this project, many peoples condemned this mod to failure. Nine month ago one person prophesied that we will not see playable version eariel than in 2023 and no one will play it.
To be honestn in moments like this I wonder why people say that I'm a pessimist...
Because two days ago, I published first open alpha version. Of course, this is very early version and many things are unfinished, but is playable and this is not only custom battles. In this version you can play mini-campaign on complete new map with Númenor island. I know that is not too much, but in updates this will be next lands, races and other things. Anyway, here you have download link, have fun! ^^

- New campaign map with 28 provinces (Numenor Island) and 8 playable factions

- New models on campaign map
- New resources (e.g. Mithril)
- New technologies and comander skill tree
- New music (by Filip Oleyka) and units sounds

Installation:
- Unpack and put all files in "data" folder of Shogun 2.
- Run game and check all files in mod manager
If (when) you will find bugs, you can report this on special channel on mod Discord server ;)

I wish there was a dedicated big group to this mod like Third age Total War since Shogun 2 is the only and the newest one that campaign map can be edited or redone somehow although it is extremely hard.

Do I need dlc's to play last alliance? for some reason i can only start a fall of the samurai campaign although the main menu is in last alliance stile. also it crashes when I want to play a custom battle
You have the fall of the samurai dlc you need the actual game itself which is called Shogun 2

I own all Total Wars and out of all the modding projects this is by far the one I am mostly looking forward to! (Besides Divide et Impera)
Why? Well because Shogun 2's engine still is probably the best version of the engine ever created, having the modability of Medieval 2 and the High Definition looks of Rome 2! It is like the best of both worlds. Also, amazing melee and ranged weapons and even naval combat combined into one. (Lacking siege engines thou)
I hope this mod teaches other modders how to mod on Shogun 2 so we can have Napoleonic Eras + who knows what else on an engine where COOP Campaigns work flawesly unlike Napoleon Total War that while cool had terrible COOP issues.
All in all I hope some of the amazing modders working on the numerous Medieval 2 LOTR mods join your team.
Medieval 2 was a perfect game but it is really stating to show its age in the graphics and specially in the performance departments.
Shogun 2 on the other hand is top notch and should be able to better utilize modern systems for flawless multiplayer matches!

When i start playing doesn't appear any faction description and there's the orginal Shogun 2 explanation of every building (and its bonuses) when i manage the cities.
Is it normal and they have to be implemented or it's an error?
My game version is in italian.

I would say, play in English. That you playing in Italian, is to 100% the cause for your Problem because there is right now, no Translation to Italian for the Mod...
