Kamidex. A Singleplayer Source engine modification being built around the Half Life 2 story. "The commanders of your planet notice some abnormal teleportation readings coming from earth. A crew is sent out to investigate, with you being one of them. Orbiting at a safe altitude from the earth, you watch the war between humanity and the combine. But then something terrible happens. Your entire squad looses control of their craft, and get pulled into the Earth's atmosphere by an invisible force. The light blinds you, and there's a crash. ajikan, concept art doesn't need to be fancy and stuff, it's only used as reference for the modellers, and all I can say about this ones is that they are extremely good as reference. so shut up and come back if you can do better.

i CAN do better. ive drawn all my life and go to art school. so, this cracks me upp that you two tell me off.
and it was good advice, for a mod to be something it needs a concept artist, im not saying i want to be one, just they need a new one.
there are so many flaws in these drawings its impossible to figureout how to make models of them.
and they suffer from major design flaws and general bad layout forms.
Ajikan, as myles said, they're a good model reference. And they are, we've already set the ball rolling and the models are looking very good.
Oh mister 'art school', being a modeler myself I can say that clean references apposed to highly detailed paintings work better when trying to get a concept into a basic 3d form. With 3d modeling you can later add final details once you get the general shape of the object. These are perfect for the process of getting it into a basic form. I do agree that having high detailed images will help the 3d artist get an idea of the end result.

and what are you trying to say? that i am wrong in thinking this sucks? and somehow this is the best thing a modeller can use?
and the basic form shown in these concepts are, crap. im not saying that to hurt feelings, but they are plain crap.
so unless this mod is suposed to be a satire, i se nothing good in the concepts.
at first i thought they were a joke, i still hope they are. and i dont understand why you are defending this, making them think this is good will only sett them back.
