You know... whenever I post an update someone yells at me: "DON'T YOU DARE TO ABANDON THIS!!!"

It's not... It's just... I wouldn't post updates if I was to abandon this, would I? ;)

i'm just hoping that i'll be able to play this mod once, it has so much potential :) will it be a separate game with an installer or it can simply be integrated to the original game?

As it is using a different game engine, it will be separate.

Damn a whole new engine? How will porting story etc work? :O

In regards of the storymode (events, audiofiles etc.) those are fairly easy to port over. Matching the enemy AI will take a few days I guess and getting the light saber combat to work like in the original will definitely take time.

The Quake Arena engine was great at the time but I decided to port everything over because I felt limited and I do lack the abilities to code around those limitations.

With the new engine, I do not have to worry about limitations and can focus on the art and gameplay itself, hopefully you will understand that. :)

It's awesome that you are making this, is there any chance you could even improve the saber combat animations to be more fluid like. I always felt like Jedi Outcast's and Jedi Academy's saber combat was good but could even be better. So when you swing the sabers they don't look so stiff?

this will be handled when dealing with the actual animation, I will see what I can do (yes I share your experience, the original sword combat felt a bit stiff sometimes).

Description

Kejim with Color Grading, giving it a darker (maybe too dark?) look/feel.

Oh and a little preview of (10% finished) Yavin MP.
