Lets start with the thing most of you guys want to hear. THE RELEASE DATE! Is almost ready. I am having some of my friends alpha testing the mod to make sure it works. There might be some minor things I can't fix like animations glitches, but I am going to try, and fix the other stuff.
That is actually what is happening right now.
I ended up changing my mind and are now working on the custom generals.
What is going to happen?
Well there are some "smaller" things I kinda want to try and add to the mod later on. Perhaps more units who knows.
Another small thing... I said in the last update where I showed pictures of the artillery that I was working on a "mysterious" unit.
This unit was a mounted Dwarven unit. These dwarves were riding boars because I thought it was a cool idea. (I know in the movie it's rams, but that is most likely not going to happen)
After almost 24 hours of work the Dwarves worked in-game with the boars.
But Rome 2 works on "simple" animations which means I had to give the boars horse animations which fucked the textures and the animations up. It looked really odd. Also the riders were kinda floating in mid air because the boars didn't have the same size as the horses in Rome 2.
Then I thought of making normal cav for the dwarves, but the game does not provide with ponies.
So the cavalry idea is dead (For now)
Then I just want to say thanks for everyone who have supported this mod. It has been an interesting LONG journey. I must admit one of the things that kept me going was the positivity you guys gave this mod so Thank you. :D
I can now cross Rome 2 Mod from scratch off my "To do list". :)
Well the lack of cav will probably be a unique twist to the dwarves, and interesting obstacle to overcome for the price of having badass dwarven infantry.
