Iraq War: Global Conflict Mod adds Iraq as a playable faction and will also feature a campaign with Iraqi forces fighting in cities and deserts of Iraq. Although Iraq will be the main focus, the mod will feature over ten playable countries including USA, EU, Russia, China, Iran, and many Middle Eastern countries. Each country will feature wide range of tanks and aircrafts that accurately match the arsenal of respective countries. Players will be able to unleash hell with their favorite country and their unique weaponry. The first four factions are Iraq, U.S., Russia, and Iran.

Iraq War: Global Conflict Mega Update

EDIT: Mod's first video is added at the bottom of the news. Check it out.

Global Conflict Fans,

We are back! And as always, we are back with surprise. This time, update is at its largest size. You can't digest it so lets move on slowly. New team members have been working hard to deliver you the best.

Our mapper, KniveZ, created stunning maps some as large as 900x900. The first in the series of maps is the Red Sea Peninsula. It has a city off the shore of the Red Sea. The city is detailed and is planned for small urban battles. Second map is the Indian Shores. A large 2v2 map that has cities, green lands, and of course, the Indian Ocean. Pretty much good for anything. The water body is large enough to serve naval battles. KniveZ's third map is a special request for mod leader, Omar. Its called Battle for Al Najaf and very much resembles the city of Najaf in Iraq when view from top. This is a large 900x900 map and detailed smartly to allow for long lasting urban battles. Around the city is a large desert with oil derricks to fight over. This can be the next best desert/urban map ever made for ZH. The forth in the series of KniveZ's maps is Iraq Checkpoints. It is a 1v1 map with 4 oil derricks and a central town to fight for. Map is flourished with resources so long battles are guaranteed. The last but not least, is the most crucial map for naval battles. It is called Arabia meets Persia. The 2v2 map is set in the southern Iranian port, Bandar Abbas and the northern Omani exclave, the Musandam Peninsula. Land masses in the map are big and are separated from one another by the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian land mass has a large city and plenty of resources while the Omani land has a small village and two large oil facilities.

KniveZ have put lots of effort on detailing the maps to give all the mod fans a whole new experience. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Models

On the other side, our modelers and skinners have done some new models. Humam, Muheeb, and mod leader Omar completed the models for F14 Tomcat, Mi-28 Havoc, MiG 27, S-300 AA System, T-90 and Tu-16. Al Hassan modeled and skinned the British Challenger, T-72, T-62, and modeled the British Royal Marine. Our modelers have been working real hard to make each and every unit resemble its real counter part to its best and also satisfy the modding limits and requirements. Few of the models are shown below due to large space images take but you can visit our site or the gallery section on moddb to see all the models.

We have released the first video showing the mod's progress. Watch it here:

In the past weeks some members have joined us but then left for good. The mod is progressing at a fast rate though it may not seem like it. We certainly need more modders on our team especially those who can do

Naval Coding
Texturing and Skinning
Voice acting: Arabic, American, British, Persian, Israeli, Russian and even Chinease!
