Late Arrival of New Year's Update
Good afternoon,
and good evening, to our fans all over the world. Well, I say this because now we have fans from far east Asia all the way to west coast of US of A. I know.. I know.. I'm sorry. But it is not late yet. We did not forget you nor the New Year's present. Yup, another update with a lot to talk about. Firstly, I must mention that we did hit a bump this time. Our mod leader’s PC got a virus. The severity of damage caused was beyond expectation and he couldn’t recover dozen of mod related work most of which were the newly created models and newly skinned models; however, we put that behind us and start working again. On the other hand I was sick for quite long time. Middle East gets cooler every year despite all the “global warming” fuss.
On the mapping part, KniveZ, whom you should be familiar with by now, finished the 6th or 7th map, Al Amara. (Sorry, I lost count!). This one is a 700x700 four player map with a desert/urban theme. There is a dam at the west of the map which also serves as starting point for a player. There are several villages on the map, each with a reinforcing pad. Capturing the villages is crucial in winning the battle; however, the key point is the central city which has routes to villages all over the map. So, “control of the city means control of map routes”.
On the audio part, well, I worked on some soundtracks. For now, we have 2 new tracks for the campaign mode, 5 tracks for multiplayer games, a track for losing player, and one for the winning player. It is a promising move and we hope to progress more in this area.
KniveZ also created an intro video for the mod which we will be posting on the site soon so stay tuned and check our site regularly.
Okay.. I leave you with the pictures now
