Q: What is Insurrection 1776? A: Insurrection 1776 is a modification for Battlefield Vietnam set during the Revolutionary War that uses 18th century style combat. Q: What's unique about Insurrection 1776? A: Insurrection is far from your standard "replace all weapons and vehicles with new weapons and vehicles" type of mod. The Insurrection 1776 mod team is pleased to release their latest public offering for us to enjoy. This new version has a bunch of new features and some really fun features. This is a must check out.

This is an ALPHA release. This is very, very far from what our final game will be. Expect to see a lot of temporary skins, animations, and models as this game is still very much in active development. We are eager to hear your feedback and suggestions about the game, but please keep in mind that almost everything you will see in this version is not in its final form. We are releasing it for gameplay testing purposes and to give the Battlefield Vietnam community a taste of things to come.

- 18th century warfare with muzzle-loading muskets! Make your shots count or prepare for intense melee combat.
- 6 different muskets to choose from, including the Brown Bess with bayonet, the Blunderbuss, and the Kentucky Long Rifle
- Lingering smoke effects. After a few seconds of fighting, the battlefield will be smoke-filled mayhem.
- Right-click bayonet attack. Don't worry about trying to switch to melee in the middle of combat, if your musket has a bayonet, just use the alternate attack to stab with it.
- 18lb Garrison, swivel cannon, field cannon, and mortar
- Custom Player models, statics and much more
