IDF - Fight For Independence™: V0.20 Beta 2 September 22, 2023: Fight for Independence is a total conversion modification for the game "Battlefield 2". The mod featuring the conflict between israel and surrounding Arab countries in years 1967-1973. include this wars: - The Six Day War - War of Attrition - The Yom Kippur War.
This beta version focuses on the War of Attrition fought mainly between Egypt and Israel from 1967-1970. Also included in this version are the Black September battles fought between Jordan, Syria and the PLO. In this beta version we have over 150 land vehicles - over 70 air vehicles - over 25 sea vehicles - over 80 stationary weapons - over 200 hand held weapons. Over 30 new maps - New factions - Many code improvements and bug fixes - And many other things, too many to list!
The state of this beta is that the new vehicles and weapons are closet to 100% complete. There is a text file in the mod folder that lists all the new vehicles and stationary weapons. There are also 3 different types of test maps in this version. We have an indoor shooting range map made by Truespirit, thank you! On this map you can test ALL of the hand held weapons in our mod. We also have a vehicle and stationary weapons testing maps where you can test ALL of the vehicles and stationary weapons in the mod.
This is a full beta version but you will need BF2 installed for this to work. If you have any previous IDF mod bete versions installed please remove those before you install this version. The beta version comes with 8 maps. The vehicle and weapon range maps which is a test map only (no bot support) that included all of the current vehicles, stationary weapons and hand held weapons.
There is a separate beta map pack that has many more maps to play with SP/COOP support.To install the beta simply extract the contents of the zip file to your BF2 mod folder. this would be a typical location for the BF2 mod folder but it could be different if you have installed BF2 on a different drive on your computer. C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods
